Enjoy a respite from hiking with this easy stroll through the wild meadows of Yosemite Valley. Majestic views of iconic Yosemite sights surround you.
Start at the Visitor Center to learn more about the early days of Yosemite and the valley, especially the earliest residents, the Native American tribes. You can also pick up a leaflet about this trail with more information about the animal and plant life you may encounter.
This loop takes you through Cook and Sentinel Meadows, as well as up to Lower Yosemite Falls. Begin early or later in the day to avoid the heaviest crowds. We enjoyed the trail in the late afternoon before a dinner reservation at the Ahwahnee Hotel (briefly known as the Majestic Yosemite).
