LA DOLCE VITA
As you walk around the city, it's often difficult to imagine what life was like in the height of the Roman Empire. Typically, business and politics were discussed in the mornings at the marketplaces, temples and administrative buildings in the forums (the central gathering place was the Roman Forum). In the afternoon, one would socialize and exercise at the public baths or find entertainment at the Colosseum.
Compass & Key created this itinerary to help understand the leisurely pace of a day in Rome. Today, this approach is recognized as La Dolce Vita, "the sweet life".
