Seville Outtakes
At the base of the column is Tara, staring up in awe, attempting to take in the immense size of the Seville Cathedral.

Seville Outtakes
This is not a headless man. We were trying to capture the sheer size of the columns inside the cathedral - this brace was used during earlier restorations. Our fellow traveler here just happened to be bending at the wrong time.

Seville Outtakes
We are not the best cooks, but we thoroughly enjoyed the results from a cooking class through Not Just a Tourist (you'll see us in the background of the photo on their website).
Seville Outtakes
The resident "Jackelope" at the ornate bar at Hotel Alfonso XIII. Put this on your cocktail destination list, regardless if you're staying at the hotel.

Tara 💛 guidebooks. Here she is, doing what she does best, reading aloud to Pradeep as they tour around.

Seville Outtakes
Tapas at Casa Cuesta. This was actually our second visit; we loved the food so much during our tapas tour that we had to return.

Language Etiquette
Attempting to speak the language goes a long way in every country. In Spain, greet people with 'Buenos días' in the mornings, 'Buenos tardes' in the evenings, and 'Gracias' at the end of your conversations. For more essential phrases, print out this handy pocket guide (double-sided) from Living Language to fold and keep with you throughout your Spanish holiday.

The Emblem of Seville
Look around and you will quickly notice this curious sign throughout the city. It is said that in the 13th century, King Alfonso X exclaimed, "she has not deserted me" ("no me ha dejado") when the people remained loyal to him after a dispute with his son. The clever use of an icon in the middle - a skein of wool ("madeja") - simplified the phrase to 'no madeja do'.

Get to Know Sherry
The drink, that is. Andalusia is famous for its sherry, a type of wine that is on the sweeter side.
